Research Interest

Dr. Chadaram Sivaji has been working at Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in promoting Science and Technology in the country since 1998.

Dr. Sivaji made valuable contributions in publishing vision papers on thrust areas in earth sciences and edited few books on important themes. During his tenure at DST, he has taken up responsibilities as Member-Secretary of important National programmes in DST.

Dr. Sivaji is also member of various professional Societies viz., geological Society of India, Mineralogical Society of India, Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences and was selected as visiting professor at Hokkaido University, Japan; Andhra University, Visakhapatnam; and SRTM University, Nanded in India.

Education and Career

Dr. Chadaram Sivaji obtained his bachelor's Degree in Physics in 1984 and Master's Degree in Geophysics in 1987 from Andhra University, India. He was awarded Doctorate in Geophysics from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad India in 1992 for his work on mapping of deep crustal discontinuities over central India region through gravity field data.

Dr. Sivaji was also awarded Post Doctoral Fellowship by Science and Technology Agency of Japan during 1999-2001 and worked on seismic wave propagation through random heterogeneous media through Laser Doppler Vibrometer experiments at Geological Survey of Japan at AIST Tsukuba. Dr. Sivaji has published several research papers in reputed journals in Geophysics.
